Don’t be late to the party! Francine was scouring YouTube for something fun and educational and discovered Mrs. Hill Party of 6’s YouTube Channel. Mrs. Hill hosts read alongs from a wide variety of authors. We love the sound of her voice and how she tells the stories, we also like the fact she is a teacher. She has the books online for her students if they want to experience the story again. She teaches special needs children grades 1-4 and has 4 children of her own that probably love her read alongs as much as we do.
First Day Jitters by Julie Danneberg, Ms. Hill got nearly 1 million views on this installment. It’s about a girl who is getting ready for her first day of school, but feels a jumble of emotions in anticipation.
How To Read A Story by Kate Messner, the same says it all. Teaching kids about reading helps them enjoy reading. Many kids miss out of enjoying books because it’s too much work. Helping them understand reading helps them to enjoy it.
A Little Spot of Kindness! by Diane Alber, a fun story about choosing kindness and helping kids to identify and wrangle their emotions.
