Most of us have great memories of Lego and Duplo as kids. However, the price of both versions of blocks has skyrocketed. You can only get a few pieces for $15, while for $22-$28 you can get 108-150 pieces with Strictly Briks and Mega Bloks.
But do they measure up? We compared the comments on Amazon and the reviews are in. Strictly Briks has 2069 reviews and a 4.5-star rating. Not bad. Many reviews claim they can’t tell the difference unless they look very closely and the bricks fit with classic Duplo.
How does Mega Bloks add up? Right off the bat, these pieces do not fit with Duplo, Mega Blocks was the original off-brand claiming to work with lego – with mixed and poor results. Unfortunately, the reviews for their 150 piece set are not cohesive. Although most are positive and the set has 1800 reviews with a 5 -star rating. Some users noted there were too many small pieces and that the set was great for building “icicles”.
